I haven't posted for a few days, mainly because I've been super busy getting ready for school. This year is my first year at boarding school, and boarder orientation starts tomorrow. TOMORROW!
So Thursday we drove down to the city - an 8 hour drive from my rural little home town - and arrived at my grandparents house. By then I was absolutely buggered, and I had the Internet, but I really had no motivation for anything except reading Doctor Who fanfiction and sleeping (sorry!).
I've been out shopping for uniform and a few more casual items of clothing today, and also finally got my Christmas present from my parents; a new phone. Typically, when we asked a woman in the Telstra shop about he phones, she pointed to the model of my old phone and said not to get one of those-.- (I'd figured that out a looooong time ago).
Another highlight of today was the Boost Juice. My friend and I got completely hooked on it on our school trip to Canberra last year, and by the end of the trip I had been getting them as a substitute for breakfast, as my stomach doesn't seem to agree with having breakfast at 7am, before I'm properly awake. Also, they're fruit, so you can't deny that they're healthy.
I love boost juice.
That's pretty much it. Not nervous about school yet, but silly, anxiety prone me will be worried as hell tomorrow...even if I look calm on the outside. My subconscious will be screaming at those silly nerves (it's quite a talkative little fellow, my subconcious), but the anxiety will kick in anyway. I just know it.
So there you go. A little bit more about me, and a reason why I recommend boost juice for breakfast. I know it hardly makes up for the last three days, but as a famous bushranger once said: such is life.

I love horses...and this is my first, proper, horse-related novel. I haven't begun writing it yet, but I have plenty of ideas:3
Haleesa, a wild desert girl, has an incredible talent with animals; particularly the hardy horses of the desert. But with the desert tribes being searched for any with useful talents, such skills are better left hidden.
Haleesa was never good at keeping secrets though. All around her could see it was only a matter of time before she was brought to attention. And those who are chosen, who cannot keep their extraordinary skills in their trade a secret, mysteriously disappear from the deserts, never to return.
All Haleesa has ever known is the desert. Can she survive anywhere else?

Facebook, Clothes Tags, Fences and an Impossible Choice
Since yesterday afternoon, I've been hating at Facebook, as the newer version of the iPod app peed me off so much I deleted it (I was running the older, better version but it suddenly stopped working...), and the one on Safari is just as crappy. It doesn't even allow me access to my pages! So since then I've been using my screwy phone, which I CANNOT wait to get rid of...only a few more days and I'll have a new one, thank God.
Another thing is clothes tags. I'm off to boarding school THIS WEEKEND (O.o where the heck did the holidays go??!?), and ALL my clothes have to have name tags. So I spent half the day in pj's because all my clothes are in the wash or a big pile waiting for Mum to finish work...
Eventually of course, I was ordered to get clothes out of my pile, but if anything misses out on a tag, it is no longer my fault:3
The first thing I did this morning was go out and feed the horses and fix their fence. Fencing in my pyjamas. There's something you don't do everyday.
And, finally, I sat at the kitchen table for ten minutes before I did this, trying to decide what I want to do. Self-inflicted boredom, since I had about ten things to choose from.
Yes, my life is really boring enough that this is all I have to talk about...

Something To Waste Your Time
So like I said about three minutes ago, I've been mucking around in the piano. And randomly falling in love with songs I hear on the radio.
The only bands I'm listening to lately are Chameleon Circuit, Christina Perri, The Fray and RED (you MUST listen to their song Never Be the Same...amazing). The only tv I've watched is Doctor Who. And the only instrument I've played is the piano.
Fail xD
I'm really not sure why I wanted to write another something. Maybe to tell you about Flying For Home, and put off going there to enter my horses in races. Procrastination, that's what this post is. I'm being incredibly lazy today.
Firstly, I probably need to go and check that the breadmaker hasn't exploded or something as a result of my noodish breadmaking skills or a combination of soft and crusty bread flour. Secondly, I should probably go and clean up the kitchen or something before Mum gets home. Thirdly, my room needs cleaning before I go away. Fourth, I need to do my entries on FFH. And lastly, I shouldn't just give up learning stuff on the piano.
Of course, none of that is going to get done while I'm sitting here wasting time, but at the same time I feel like I'm being productive. It's a win-win situation for my brain.
Stupid, lazy brain.

Piano Fail
So apparently it's Monday. And apparently my last post was on Saturday, which I don't understand as I clearly remember spending an hour yesterday typing all that on my lovely little iPod.
Anyway, today I'm being musical. I fell in love with the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri three days ago (and no, I am not a Twilight fan, despite the song coming from the soundtrack of Breaking Dawn), and I've just spent about 20 minutes failing at playing anything more than the first note on my piano. I used to think I wasn't too bad at playing piano, not so sure about that now. Maybe it's because I haven't practised in such a long time...
Speaking of instruments I don't play very often, I should probably be practising my violin (which has been tuned once since Chrstmas 2010, when I played at the Christmas Eve church service), which came back from being fixed about 3 months ago. I'm not though. If there's one thing I am absolutely rubbish at, it's tuning instruments.
So I've been avoiding my violin and failing at learning a new song on the piano. And earlier I ate bread that I hate and an icecream that I would usually throw away. All in all, my day has not been very eventful. I have to admit though, I'm enjoying the peace, because four days and we're off to Adelaide, and then I'll be at boarding school. My blog is probably going to suffer then, but at least I'll have something interesting to write about.

A Whole Wide Whoniverse
As you've probably guessed by the name of my blog, I am currently completely obsessed with Doctor Who. And I thought, since I have nothing else to talk about, I will try and explain why it means so much to me.
In case you don't know what I'm on about here (which I very much doubt), Doctor Who is a science fiction tv series and book series about an old time traveller called the Doctor, who stole a time machine (called the TARDIS) and went off to see the universe. The Doctor can regenerate whenever he dies, and become a completely different person, which has resulted in the show running for almost 50 years now, and we are currently at the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith). Earlier Doctors would visit all sorts of planets and parts of ancient history, but the newer Doctors tend to protect Earth throughout the last 1000 years or so.
I was first introduced to the show by my Dad, who has a collection of tapes that hold almost every episode of Doctor Who aired in Australia. I didn't really think much of it until I watch the fourth Doctor (Tom Baker), with his robot dog, K9 (who I loved to death) and companion Romana. I don't remember many of the episodes any more, but this Doctor was always armed with a bag of jelly babies, and wearing a very colourful scarf. From that Doctor on, I was hooked.
Out of the first eight Doctors, I only watched the fourth and fifth incarnations, but when the show came back around 2004 (I think...), my friend and I were both obsessed with it once again - this time with the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccelston) and his companion Rose (Billie Piper). I still remember out recess and lunchtimes at school, when we would pretend to be travelling with the Doctor. This Doctor only lasted one season, but Rose travelled with the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) for another season.
David Tennant was one of the best Doctors we've ever had, though by the end of his third series, the show had more of a serious and sad side to it than before. Some of his episodes are my all-time favourites - his very first episode, the three-parter at the end of his second series, and the Titanic Christmas special (unfortunately, I am rubbish at remembering episode names...).
And then comes Matt Smith.
The 11th Doctor is a rather scatter-brained, fun-loving guy with a tweed jacket and bowtie ("Bowties are cool") that I absolutely love. He's not as good as David Tennant, granted, but he's great to quote, and I think he pulls it off perfectly. My Dad disagrees with me, but he still watches, so he can't think it's too bad. As with all the Doctors, Matt Smith's first episode is one of my all time favourites, and never fails to make me want to try fish fingers and custard (even though it looks like a rather disgusting snack).
Then of course, there are the monsters and aliens. Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Sontarans, Vashten Arada, Sycorax, the Devil, the Absorbaloff, Slitheen, Krillitanes...you name it. All of them want to take over Earth, but none have managed it.
Out of them all, the ones that scare me most are the Weeping Angels, and Vashten Arada. Statues that can kill you if you blink, and carnivorous shadows. Daleks and Cybermen are our oldest, most hated foes...and then we get to the Master, the Doctor's greatest rival, driven mad by the drumbeat in his head. All of these creatures keep us watching.
I now have a Doctor Who roleplay on Facebook with two of my friends, called The Blue Box (in reference to the TARDIS), where we work together to create monsters and planets for OI own entertainment. So far we have the Ancients (an almost extinct race of people related to the Time Lords), Nightmares (worm their way into a victims head and show them images and hallucinations of various things that cause them great sadness or pain), Ghild (a completely robotic planet), and just last night, the Servants of Alliah (a religion who invade planets and convert or burn the inhabitants).

A Poem
I'm bored...so here is a poem I wrote ages ago:3
Smile a thousand smiles
Cry a thousand tears
Breathe in a thousand breaths
Sigh them out again
Walk away a thousand steps
Then walk a thousand back
Tell them a thousand words
So that they'll forgive and forget
Think away a thousand thoughts
Until a thousand moments pass
Make and break a thousand friends
Find the ones you can trust
Sing out a thousand songs
Send a thousand prayers
Beg for mercy a thousand times
But never give up hope.
Smile a thousand smiles
Cry a thousand tears
Breathe in a thousand breaths
Sigh them out again
Walk away a thousand steps
Then walk a thousand back
Tell them a thousand words
So that they'll forgive and forget
Think away a thousand thoughts
Until a thousand moments pass
Make and break a thousand friends
Find the ones you can trust
Sing out a thousand songs
Send a thousand prayers
Beg for mercy a thousand times
But never give up hope.

Five Impossible Things Before Breakfast
Yes, I know it’s 2pm, and past lunchtime, but I skipped breakfast this morning so technically it’s still before breakfast:P
If you’ve seen the new (ish) Alice In Wonderland, you’ll understand the concept. Every day, Alice thinks of five impossible things. So. Here we go.
1. I will not arrive at boarding school with a big box of books.
2. I won’t mention Doctor Who in this post.
3. Drop bears actually exist.
4. The world will end this year.
5. My friend Terry will have a pet dalek by the end of next week (he may, however, have destroyed the world by then by creating a paradox though)
There we go. 5 impossible things, which was actually a little bit hard for me, because I tend to believe that nothing is impossible.
I’m a fantasy writer, don’t judge me.
